Rate increase and special service options in place for next school year

The 2004-2005 school year will see rate increases for 4-H Environmental Education field studies at Wahsega while existing special service options remain in place.

The new rates are in effect for new contracts for all schools reserving fall 2004 and spring 2005 dates for their students. The rate increase will be $4.00 per person for the typical three day/two night field study which goes up to $79.00. In addition, the two day/one night field study will be at a new rate of $59.00. This fee is an additional $6.00 per person over the current charge of $53.00. The one day field study increases $3.00 to $29.00 per person.

Though rates will increase next year, Wahsega still offers two special services for school groups: Customized schedules and the Exclusive Use Option. For several years now, custom field study schedules have been available for schools that need more or less classes or meals during their stay at Wahsega. There is no premium fee for this service.

Our other special service, the Exclusive Use Option, is available for school group leaders who request to have the center to themselves while their students participate in an Environmental Education field study. A premium conference fee is assessed for those schools wishing to take advantage of this option.
