What is it?
Wahsega has been equipped with water conservation hardware and technologies since 2005. In March of 2010 we added a rain water harvesting system that converts non-potable water from the roof of the Recreation Hall into drinkable water. However, we can still consume less water, so we are inviting you to participate in a game called the Gallon Challenge.
When do we play?
We will begin the game upon your arrival at Wahsega 4-H Center. During orientation you will learn about the details of the game and we will brainstorm some ways that we can conserve water during your visit. After your visit we will calculate how many gallons of water you used per person during your visit. We will post the data on the winners list below.
The game does not stop when you leave! Continue to challenge yourself to conserve water at home through using some of the things you learned at Wahsega! Start simple with a goal of conserving 10 gallons at home a day!
