2008 Wilderness Challenge Camp

June 30 to July 4

Wilderness Challenge Camp is a week during the summer created for campers committed to enjoying some real adventure.

Campers must have a positive attitude and must be ready to participate and jump in with both feet. No backing out and no homesickness allowed! Registration is open to 6th, 7th and 8th graders throughout the state. Some of the activities we expect to be included in this year’s Wilderness Challenge Camp:

  • White water rafting on Tennessee’s Ocoee River
  • Cave Crawling at Racoon Mountain near Chattanooga
  • A surprise adventure may be in the works!
  • Classes at Wahsega especially developed for Wilderness Challenge Camp
  • Night recreation with dancing and outdoor sports
  • A slideshow of the week of camp
  • Thursday Night Campfire with counselor skits and stories by The Old Man
  • Closing ceremonies Friday morning

If you know someone interested in attending Wilderness Challenge Camp, please share this opportunity.
