About the program

Wilderness Challenge Camp is a week during the summer created for campers committed to enjoying some real adventure.

More resources for parents and campers will be available on this webpage as they become available.

Who should participate?

Campers must have a positive attitude and must be ready to participate and jump in with both feet. No backing out and no homesickness allowed! Registration is open to 7th and 8th graders throughout the state. Some of the activities we expect to be included in this year's Wilderness Challenge Camp (tentative):

  • White water rafting on Tennessee’s Ocoee River
  • Cave Crawling at Raccoon Mountain near Chattanooga
  • Overnight camp out
  • Classes at Wahsega especially developed for Wilderness Challenge Camp
  • Night recreation with dancing and outdoor sports
  • A slideshow of the week of camp

If you know someone interested in attending Wilderness Challenge Camp, please share this opportunity.
