4-H Wilderness Challenge Camp


Monday-Friday, July 2-6, 2018

Drop Off and Pick Up Times

Drop off campers at Wahsega 4-H Center between 1:00P-3:30P on Monday, July 2, 2018.
Pick up campers at Wahsega 4-H Center between 9:30A-10A on Friday, July 6, 2018.


Some of the activities we expect to be included in this year's Wilderness Challenge Camp (tentative):

  • White water rafting on Tennessee’s Ocoee River
  • Zip line canopy tour
  • Classes at Wahsega especially developed for Wilderness Challenge Camp
  • Night recreation with dancing and outdoor sports
  • A slideshow of the week of camp

Waiver Form

All participants, adults and campers, must complete the Raft 1 Outfitters Waiver Form. Raft 1 Outfitters enforces a participant weight limit of 250 lbs. on their Zip Line Canopy Tour. 

Please make sure that a parent or guardian has signed their child's form before they leave for camp.

Who should participate?

Campers must have a positive attitude and must be ready to participate and jump in with both feet. No backing out and no homesickness allowed! Wilderness Challenge Camp is open to 4-H'ers in 7th and 8th grade along with 6th graders who will be twelve by Monday, July 17, 2017.  If you know someone interested in attending Wilderness Challenge Camp, please share this opportunity.

About the program

Wilderness Challenge Camp is a week during the summer created for campers committed to enjoying some real adventure.
